Decision regarding the finding of non-fulfillment of the criterion provided in the Methodology for organizing the referendum at the level of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași for electing the modality of designating the Rector for the 2024–2028 term, under art. 2, para. (5), regarding the participation in the vote of at least half plus one of the number of persons with voting rights registered on the voting lists, in order for the Referendum to be validated.

The electoral process will be resumed on July 19, 2023, according to the schedule provided in the specific methodology.

  1. Decision regarding the verification of compliance with the procedures established by the specific methodology and the approval of the synthesis reports on the competitions for filling the permanent academic positions of associate professor and university professor, put up for competition in the second semester of the 2022–2023 academic year, according to the annex.

12. Decision regarding the approval of maintaining tenure status in higher education after reaching retirement age, in the 2023–2024 academic year, for Prof. Henri Luchian, PhD, from the Faculty of Computer Science.

13. Decision regarding the approval of maintaining tenure status in higher education after reaching retirement age, in the 2023–2024 academic year, for Prof. Dorel Lucanu, PhD, from the Faculty of Computer Science.

  1. Decision regarding the approval of the Organization and Functioning Regulation of the Faculty of Law, according to the annex.

  1. Decision regarding the approval of the establishment, with the initiation of ARACIS procedures, for inclusion in the accredited field of Physics, of the professional master’s university study program Applied Physics in Smart Technologies and Communications, full-time learning, 120 credits, which will operate starting with the 2024–2025 academic year within the Faculty of Physics.

  1. Decision regarding the approval of transmitting to the National Authority for Qualifications the request for validation and enrollment in the National Register of Qualifications in Higher Education (RNCIS) of the qualification Applied Physics in Smart Technologies and Communications, corresponding to the master’s university study program Applied Physics in Smart Technologies and Communications, full-time learning, which will operate starting with the 2024–2025 academic year within the Faculty of Physics.

  1. Decision regarding the approval of the affiliation of the following teaching staff:
    • Assoc. Prof. Mihaela Elena Breabăn, PhD, to the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Computer Science, in the doctoral university study field of Computer Science.
    • Assoc. Prof. Silviu Mihail Tiță, PhD, to the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, in the doctoral university study field of Management.
    • Assoc. Prof. Mihaela Elena Breabăn, PhD, to the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Physics, in the doctoral university study field of Physics.

  1. Decision regarding the approval, pursuant to Art. 12 of Law no. 49/14.03.2013 amending Art. 12 of Law no. 288/2004 regarding the organization of university studies, of the requests for postponing the defense of the doctoral thesis, as follows:

Decision regarding the approval of the proposal to conclude a protocol for taking the licensing exam, June 2024 session, at the Faculty of Law of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, for the 2020–2024 cohort of the provisionally authorized full-time (IF) Law bachelor’s university study program from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

  1. Decision regarding the approval of the schedule regarding the elections within the Department of Geology for the position of Department Director, following the retirement of Prof. Nicolae Buzgar, PhD, as follows:

  • September 13–15 – submission of candidacy files for the position of Department Director
  • September 18 – election of the Department Director. If the legal quorum is not met, the elections shall be resumed on September 19, 2023
  • September 20, 2023 – submission of potential contests/appeals
  • September 21–22, 2023 – settlement of potential contests/appeals
  • September 25, 2023 – transmission of the election result to the Rectorate.

  1. Decision regarding the validation of the new external member in the Council of the Doctoral School of Computer Science, following the resignation of Prof. Horia Florian Popa, PhD, in the person of Prof. Viorel Negru, PhD, from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science within the West University of Timișoara.
