  1. Decision regarding the approval of the composition of the vote counting commission, as follows:

  1. Decision regarding the approval of amending Art. 18 of the Organization and Functioning Regulation of the University Senate, as follows:

Art. 18.

1) Decisions of the University Senate shall be adopted by open or secret ballot.

2) Open voting shall be expressed by raising the hand.

3) In the case of open voting, the counting of votes shall be performed by a commission elected for this purpose, approved by the Senate Plenary upon the proposal of the president, at the beginning of each Senate session.

4) Secret voting shall be expressed by ballot papers and shall be used for the election of the Senate President, the designation of an authorizing officer under the conditions provided in Art. 8, para. 5(g), in the case of requests for the extension of teaching activity as tenured staff, the granting of a sabbatical year or the reduction of the teaching load, for the validation of competitions for professor, associate professor, CS I and CS II, or for the sanctions provided in Art. 20, paragraph (2), letters (e) – (f). In the case of secret voting, the counting of votes shall be performed by a commission elected for this purpose, approved by the Senate Plenary upon the proposal of the president, at the beginning of each Senate session, from among the members of the Senate.

5) The meaning of the vote is: for, against, or abstention.

6) A draft decision may be voted in a plenary session only once.

7) The draft decision shall be debated and voted as a whole where there are no amendments. In case there are amended articles, they shall be debated and voted individually. After voting the amended articles, the draft decision shall also be voted as a whole.

8) For the proceedings of the Senate plenary or committees, a written minutes report shall be drawn up, recording the debates and decisions taken. It shall include the nominal mention of all Senate members who spoke, the conditions for adopting decisions or resolutions, as well as the content of those statements regarding which explicit recording in the minutes was requested.

9) The minutes reports and minutes of the specialized committees shall be brought to the attention of the Senate members. The minutes reports and audio recordings of the Senate sessions shall be archived by the Senate Secretariat. With the approval of the members of the Senate Bureau, excerpts of minutes reports regarding certain items on the agenda may be transmitted to persons who justify a written interest. The minutes of the Senate sessions, as well as the decisions in the approved form, shall be published on the UAIC website. Furthermore, the Senate decisions shall be transmitted, through the care of the Senate Secretariat, to the academic and administrative structures directly interested.

  1. Decision regarding the approval of the Institutional Development Operational Plan for the year 2023 of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași (Annex).

  1. Decision regarding the approval of the proposal by the Faculty of Mathematics to grant the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași to Prof. Daniel Ioan Tătaru, PhD, from the University of California, Berkeley, USA, and of the commission for drafting the Laudatio, with the following composition:

Decision regarding the approval of transmitting to the National Authority for Qualifications the request for validation and enrollment in the National Register of Qualifications in Higher Education (RNCIS) of the qualification Pastoral Orthodox Theology, corresponding to the bachelor’s university study program Pastoral Orthodox Theology, full-time learning, 240 transferable study credits, taught in Romanian, starting with the 2023–2024 academic year, within the Chișinău branch of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași.

Decision regarding the approval, pursuant to Art. 12 of Law no. 49/14.03.2013 amending Art. 12 of Law no. 288/2004 regarding the organization of university studies, of the request for postponing the defense of the doctoral thesis of Ms. Neli Capațînă – Verdeș, from the Doctoral School of Economics and Business Administration of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași.

Decision regarding the approval, pursuant to Art. 12 of Law no. 49/14.03.2013 amending Art. 12 of Law no. 288/2004 regarding the organization of university studies, of the request for postponing the defense of the doctoral thesis of Mr. Alexandru Lupușor, from the Doctoral School of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași.

Decision regarding the non-approval of the request for extension of paid doctoral university studies, starting October 1, 2022, for a period of two years, until September 30, 2024, by Ms. Monica Giurgea (married Gherghe), PhD student within the Doctoral School of Economics and Business Administration, on the grounds of non-compliance with the obligations provided in the scientific research program.
