Decisions of the Extraordinary Senate of the „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași adopted pursuant to Article 8, para. (91) of the Regulation on the Organization and Functioning of the University Senate, via the ZOOM video teleconferencing system

1. Decision regarding the approval of the composition of the vote counting commission, as follows:

2. Decision regarding the approval of modifying the Methodology for organizing elections for academic management structures and positions at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, for the 2020–2024 term, adopted through Senate Decision no. 14 of September 26, 2019, and revised through Senate Decision no. 14 of December 19, 2019, by introducing a new article, Art. 151, which shall read as follows:
Art. 151 (1) In situations of force majeure (state of emergency, state of alert, etc.), the election meeting of the department management shall be held via audio-video teleconferencing, through a platform that ensures the recording of the meeting and the expression of the secret vote. Following the meeting, the minutes and the electronic vote report, downloaded from the online platform used, shall be transmitted to the Central Electoral Bureau.
(2) In hypotheses where, relative to the number of members in the department and the rules imposed by the force majeure situation, a physical meeting is possible, it can be organized, by decision of the Department Council, after prior consultation of all department members, if a sufficient number of persons have confirmed physical presence prior to the established date to ensure the quorum.

3. Decision regarding the approval of revising points 32–36 of Annex 1 – Calendar of elections for the 2020–2024 term to the Methodology for organizing elections for academic management structures and positions at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, 2020–2024 term, which targets the calendar of elections for department directors and Department Council members, as follows:

4. Decision regarding the approval of the distribution of the number of state-budget-funded places for Romanian citizens and citizens of member states of the European Union, member states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation, and the number of tuition-fee places for admission to doctoral university studies, September 2020 session.

5. Decision regarding the approval of amending the Methodology regarding the organization and conduct of admission to the doctoral university study cycle for the 2020–2021 academic year, approved through Senate Decision no. 10 of January 30, 2020, as well as the Tests of the online admission competition for doctoral studies and the tie-breaking criteria, 2020–2021 academic year.

6. Decision regarding the approval of maintaining the tenured status in university education until the end of the 2020–2021 academic year for Prof. Dorina – Emilia Creangă, PhD, from the Faculty of Physics.

7. Decision regarding the approval of modifying the composition of the Commission for analyzing disciplinary deviations, in accordance with Art. 314 of National Education Law no. 1 of 2011, from the General Secretariat of the University, as follows:
President: Prof. Corneliu Iațu, PhD, Vice-Rector for strategy, institutional development, and personnel;
Members: Prof. Ionel Mangalagiu, PhD, Vice-Rector for scientific research programs and knowledge transfer;
