Overview

The E-Team Association is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political association belonging to the students of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences within the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași. It was established in 2005 under the guidance of Professor Dr. Ticu Constantin as a research group and obtained legal status in 2011, being a member of the National Union of Students of Romania (UNI). Today, it is a vibrant community full of enthusiastic young people involved in practical and research activities, as well as social activities with an impact on the Iași community.

Our motto, “Psychology is Our Matter!”, reflects the belief that psychology represents a domain of common interest and responsibility. Through this message, we express our commitment to promoting the understanding of human behavior, personal and professional development, and the cultivation of a community based on empathy, scientific knowledge, and mutual support.

The association promotes the social involvement of students in the community, practical and research activities, such as:
  • Actions aimed at promoting, defending, and supporting the professional and social interests of students from the Faculty of Psychology;
  • Mass psychoeducation – bringing psychology closer to people by organizing scientific events;
  • Conducting workshops, seminars, and trainings for personal and professional development;
  • The opportunity to practice basic techniques of psychological counseling within several partner projects;
  • Building skills in graphic design, human resources, leadership, event organization, communication, and scientific writing;
  • Offering support in the integration of young people with disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Down Syndrome, through activities carried out together with specialists and partner organizations: the Hand in Hand with Down Syndrome Association (Asociația de Mână cu Sindromul Down), the Altheo Association, and the Clear Soul Association (Asociația Suflet Senin).

Projects

A Smile Worth a Thousand Words (“Un zâmbet cât o mie de cuvinte”) – This is the charitable project of the E-Team Psychology brand, organized during Christmas time. Through the social activities carried out, donations are collected which, year after year, are directed toward a humanitarian cause to bring smiles to those who need them the most.

Improve Others Through Yourself (IOTY) – A training program for young people in schools as an extracurricular activity. Within the IOTY project, students are given the opportunity to present topics of interest for the middle school cycle, topics related to the counseling and guidance area. Students learn and master the secrets of education. At the same time, through the after-school program, they offer students the chance to understand class concepts more clearly and do their homework for that day.

E-Team Psychology Magazine – A magazine created by and for the students of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, as well as those passionate about this field. The magazine aims to support practice in formatting scientific articles (APA7 style) – an extremely useful skill for drafting a bachelor’s or master’s thesis. It includes articles about psychological concepts and the relationships between them, interviews with specialists, materials dedicated to students preparing for the Baccalaureate exam in Psychology, news from the field, as well as information about all the Association’s activities each year, such as thematic workshops and charitable projects.

Thus, our Magazine has addressed ideas targeting:
  • research from the field;
  • interviews with practitioners;
  • applied psychology;
  • profile events;
  • the experiences lived by volunteers alongside the public and specialists in the field;
  • the experience of Erasmus students;
  • leisure recommendations (movies, books, series);
  • the baccalaureate section through which we can explain the solution to an exam subject in the Psychology discipline.
