4. Decision regarding the approval of verifying compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling teaching positions of university lecturer – permanent, put up for competition in the second semester of the 2016–2017 academic year, according to the Annex. Appointment to the position shall be starting from the first day of the first semester of the 2017–2018 academic year.

5. Decision regarding the approval of verifying compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling teaching positions of university lecturer – temporary, put up for competition in the second semester of the 2016–2017 academic year, according to the Annex. Appointment to the position shall be starting from the first day of the first semester of the 2017–2018 academic year.

6. Decision regarding the approval of verifying compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling teaching positions of teaching assistant – temporary, put up for competition in the second semester of the 2016–2017 academic year, according to the Annex. Appointment to the position shall be starting from the first day of the first semester of the 2017–2018 academic year.

7. Decision regarding the approval of verifying compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on the competition for filling research positions of Scientific Researcher III – permanent put up for competition in the second semester of the 2017–2018 academic year, according to the Annex. Appointment to the position shall be made effective September 1, 2017.

8. Decision regarding the approval of verifying compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on the competition for filling the following research positions of Scientific Research Assistant and Scientific Researcher, temporary, put up for competition in the second semester of the 2017–2018 academic year, according to the Annex. Appointment to the position shall be made effective September 1, 2017.

9. Decision regarding the approval of verifying compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling teaching positions of associate professor and university professor, permanent, put up for competition in the second semester of the 2016–2017 academic year, according to the Annex. Appointment to the position shall be made starting from the first day of the first semester of the 2017–2018 academic year.

10. Decision regarding the approval of verifying compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on the competition for filling research positions of Scientific Researcher II, permanent put up for competition in the second semester of the 2017–2018 academic year, according to the Annex. Appointment to the position shall be made after the validation of the competition by the Ministry of Research and Innovation, confirmed by the appointment order for the position of Scientific Researcher II.

11. Decision regarding the approval of amending article 8 (par. 3 and 6) and article 18 (par. 3, 4, 5, and 6) of the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the University Senate, as follows:
Art. 8 (1) The name of the line ministry is replaced from the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research to the Ministry of National Education.

Art. 18 (3) In the case of open voting, the counting of votes is carried out by a commission elected for this purpose, approved by the Senate Plenum at the proposal of the president, at the beginning of each Senate meeting. Any member of the Senate may request a recount of votes.

(4) Secret voting is expressed by ballot papers and is used for the election of the President of the Senate, the designation of an accounting officer under the conditions provided in art. 8. par. 5(g), in cases of requests for extending teaching activity as tenured staff or granting the sabbatical year, for the validation of professor, associate professor, Scientific Researcher I, and Scientific Researcher II competitions, or for the sanctions provided in art. 20, paragraph (2), letters (e) – (f). In the case of secret voting, the counting of votes is carried out by a commission elected for this purpose, approved by the Senate Plenum at the proposal of the president, at the beginning of each Senate meeting, from among the members of the Senate.

(5) The meaning of the vote is: for, against, or abstention.

(6) Only teaching staff and researchers participate in the vote regarding the validation of the results of teaching and research position competitions, as well as in the vote for maintaining tenured status in higher education.

12. Decision regarding the approval of amending art. 4 – Chap. II and art. 13 – Chap. III of the Regulation of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași on granting scholarships and other forms of material support for students, which shall read as follows:
Art. 4 (1) Scholarships, regardless of category, are granted for the entire duration of the academic year (12 months).

(2) Students enrolled in the final year of study of bachelor’s or master’s study cycles who benefit from any type of scholarship in the final semester of study of the respective cycle shall be granted the same type of scholarship(s) until the completion examination of studies is passed.

Art. 13 The following cannot constitute criteria for granting any type of scholarships originating from state budget funds: age, sex, religion, race, nationality, citizenship, sexual orientation, political affiliation of the candidate or their family, affiliation with legally constituted organizations or with activity compliant with European legislation in force, number of years spent in other educational institutions, studies carried out abroad, as well as access to scholarships from other sources.

13. Decision regarding the approval of amending art. 27 and art. 29 of the Accommodation Regulation of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, which shall read as follows:
Art. 27 (1) Following the submission of applications or the completion of accommodation tables according to art. 36, the faculties transmit to the General Administrative Directorate, within the term provided by art. 29 of this Regulation, the number of accommodation applications (including for year I), structured by student categories (girls/boys).

(2) The Student Social Services Directorate forwards to the faculties and the General Administrative Directorate, according to the student accommodation calendar, the situation of submitted files.

Art. 29 (1) The Student Social Services Directorate proposes, no later than July 1 of each year, the student accommodation calendar. The proposal of the Student Social Services Directorate, endorsed by the Administrative General Director, is approved by the Executive Bureau of the Board of Administration of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași.

(2) For the 2017–2018 academic year, the proposal of the Student Social Services Directorate is forwarded for endorsement and approval no later than August 1, 2017.

14. Decision regarding the approval of maintaining tenured status in university education, after reaching the age of 65, in the 2017–2018 academic year, for Prof. Ştefan Afloroaei, PhD, Corr. Memb. of the Romanian Academy, from the Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences.
