Decisions of the University Senate of February 14, 2020
1. Decision regarding the approval of the composition of the vote counting commission, as follows:

2. Decision regarding the approval of the Rector’s Report on the state of the university for the year 2019, pursuant to Article 10, paragraph (2), point (a) of the Management Contract.
3. Decision regarding the verification of compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling temporary teaching assistant positions, put up for competition in the first semester of the 2019–2020 academic year. Appointment to the position shall be made starting with the first day of the second semester of the 2019–2020 academic year.
4. Decision regarding the verification of compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling permanent teaching assistant positions, put up for competition in the first semester of the 2019–2020 academic year. Appointment to the position shall be made starting with the first day of the second semester of the 2019–2020 academic year.
5. Decision regarding the verification of compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling permanent university lecturer and work lab head positions, put up for competition in the first semester of the 2019–2020 academic year. Appointment to the position shall be made starting with the first day of the second semester of the 2019–2020 academic year.
6. Decision regarding the verification of compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling permanent associate professor and university professor positions, put up for competition in the first semester of the 2019–2020 academic year. Appointment to the position shall be made starting with the first day of the second semester of the 2019–2020 academic year.
7. Decision regarding the verification of compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling temporary research positions of scientific research assistant and scientific researcher, put up for competition in the first semester of the 2019–2020 academic year. Appointment to the position shall be made starting February 17, 2020, with the exception of candidates Ulman Simona-Roxana, Brașoveanu Casandra-Mihaela, and Coromelci Cristina Giorgiana, whose appointment shall be made starting March 1, 2020.
8. Decision regarding the verification of compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling permanent research positions of Scientific Researcher III, put up for competition in the first semester of the 2019–2020 academic year. Appointment to the position shall be made starting February 17, 2020.
9. Decision regarding the verification of compliance with procedures established by the specific methodology and approval of synthesis reports on competitions for filling permanent research positions of Scientific Researcher II, put up for competition in the first semester of the 2019–2020 academic year. Appointment to the position shall be made after the validation of the competition by the Ministry of Research and Innovation, confirmed by the appointment order for the position of Scientific Researcher II.
10. Decision regarding the validation of the university elections of February 5, 2020, organized at the university level, for electing the members of the University Senate, teaching and research staff on behalf of the faculties and the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research within the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași.
11. Decision regarding the validation of the university elections from January 20, 2020 to January 27, 2020, organized at the university level, for electing the members of the Faculty Councils and ICI Scientific Committees, teaching, research staff, and students.
12. Decision regarding the validation of student university elections from January 27, 2020 to January 28, 2020, organized at the university level, for electing student representatives in the Senate of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași.
13. Decision regarding the approval of modifying the method of supporting the graduation examination for the specializations Pastoral Orthodox Theology and Sacred Art within the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, starting with the July 2020 graduation session, as follows:
• Pastoral Orthodox Theology Specialization:
o Test 1 – Evaluation of fundamental and specialized knowledge (Dogmatic Orthodox Theology) – written test;
o Test 2 – Presentation and defense of the graduation thesis.
• Sacred Art Specialization:
o Test 1 – Evaluation of fundamental and specialized knowledge (Art History) – written test;
o Test 2 – Presentation and defense of the graduation thesis.
14. Decision regarding the approval of the Regulation on the organization and conduct of bachelor’s / diploma, dissertation, and graduation examinations.
15. Decision regarding the validation of the designation of certain students in the management structures of the university, with the status of interim student representatives, until the organization of new elections, as follows:
o Student Adina Breabăn – student representative in the Senate Bureau;
o Student Alexandra Maria – Chiper – student representative in the Board of Administration and in the Executive Bureau of the Board of Administration.
16. Decision regarding the approval of amending Art. 4 of the Decision of the Senate of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași no. 18 of December 18, 2008, regarding the self-funded financing of certain research positions from each faculty, as follows:
a) Starting March 1, 2020, the University ensures the financing, from the centralized fund, of the salary expenses of researchers in the research departments of the faculties, within the limit of a budget representing the level of two CS III salaries, with maximum seniority, for each faculty;
b) The faculties shall bear the rest of the salary expenses of researchers in the research departments of the faculty, from their own funds.
17. Decision regarding the approval of affiliation as a PhD supervisor of Prof. Iuliu Bobos – Radu from the University of Porto in Portugal, to the Doctoral School of Geosciences, in the field of Geology.
18. Decision regarding the approval of the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences.
19. Decision regarding the approval of the Regulation of the Research Ethics Commission within the Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences.
20. Decision regarding the approval of transmitting to the National Authority for Qualifications the request for validation and enrollment of the qualification Eco – entrepreneurship, pertaining to the master’s university study program Eco – entrepreneurship, IF, 120 transferable study credits, in the National Register of Qualifications in Higher Education.
