Senate Decisions of May 29, 2014

1. Decision regarding the approval of the Methodology on the organization and conduct of bachelor’s/diploma and dissertation examinations, according to the Annex.

2. Decision regarding the approval of the allocation of the number of budget-funded and fee-paying seats for bachelor’s university studies in the 2014–2015 academic year, according to the Annex.

3. Decision regarding the approval of the allocation of the number of budget-funded and fee-paying seats for master’s university studies in the 2014–2015 academic year, according to the Annex.

4. Decision regarding the approval of the proposals to modify the Regulation on granting scholarships and other forms of support for students, according to the Annex.

5. Decision regarding the approval of maintaining the status of tenured faculty member in university education for Prof. Constantin Sasu, PhD, from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, until the end of the 2013–2014 academic year.

6. Decision regarding the approval of the Report of the Commission for Strategy, Institutional Development, and Quality Management, taking into consideration the Rector’s Report on the state of the University.

7. Decision regarding the approval of the Report of the Commission for International Relations and Study and Research Partnerships, taking into consideration the Rector’s Report on the state of the University.

8. Decision regarding the approval of the Report of the Commission for Student Activities and Partnerships in the Economic Environment and Public Sector, taking into consideration the Rector’s Report on the state of the University.

9. Decision regarding the approval of the Report of the Commission for the Organization and Development of the Information System and the Evaluation of Teaching Activities and Personnel, taking into consideration the Rector’s Report on the state of the University.

10. Decision regarding the validation of the Rector’s Report on the state of the university, in accordance with Article 10, paragraph (2), point (a) of the Management Contract.

11. Decision regarding the submission of the self-evaluation file of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași to the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS), for the purpose of the periodic evaluation of the institution.

12. Decision regarding the approval of the Executive Bureau of the Board of Administration’s proposal to grant the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași to Professor John Horton Conway, PhD, from Princeton University, and of the Laudatio drafting commission.

13. Decision regarding the approval of the establishment of the Research Center in the Field of Psychology within the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences.

14. Decision regarding the approval of the following proposals for granting the title of Professor Emeritus of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași:
  • Prof. Ionel Miron, PhD – Faculty of Biology;
  • Prof. Mihai Turinici, PhD – Faculty of Mathematics;
  • Prof. Eugen Popa, PhD – Faculty of Mathematics;

15. Decision regarding the approval of the competition commission for filling the position of scientific research assistant included in the staffing table of project I.D.PN-II-PT-PCCA-3.2-1340, having the following composition:

16. Decision regarding the approval of the Faculty of Biology’s proposal on the admission conditions for the following continuous training programs:
a) Training of Biology Teachers in Specialty and in Specialty Didactics for taking the tenured teaching position contest in the pre-university education system;
b) Training of Biology Teachers in Specialty and in Specialty Didactics for taking the exam to obtain the second teaching grade.

17. Decision regarding the approval of the DPPD proposal concerning the maximum number of hours performed under hourly payment arrangements by teaching staff, according to the annex.
