Personal Development

Personal development is the process through which you develop the skills you need to achieve the goals you set for yourself. To be able to do this, it means knowing yourself well to become aware of your strengths and weaknesses, preferences, and how you make decisions. Usually, you will want to start a personal development process if you are “inspired” or if you are “desperate” – meaning if you have found someone you look up to as a role model, a goal you want to achieve, or if you are dissatisfied with how your life currently looks and want to change that.

For the personal development services we offer you, look in the guide for: psychological counseling, career counseling, educational counseling, trainings, foreign language courses, and scholarships abroad.

Professional Development

It is a complex process aimed at acquiring useful knowledge and skills, both in relation to your current position and the desired one. At „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, you are provided with several tools to support your professional development.

Check out the services: career counseling, trainings, foreign language courses, scholarships abroad, career events, internships, volunteering, ECDL, and access to specialized literature.
Periodically, the Student Support Service organizes events where students interact with potential employers, so that students can form as realistic an impression as possible regarding job market opportunities, have the possibility to find out concrete information about what a career in their chosen field entails, and build professional relationships even during their studies.
